3D Laser scanning enables Amarinth to re-engineer obsolete pumps components

We are often asked how we re-engineer obsolete components of other OEM pumps when the original OEM no longer exists or is not supporting the pump and there are no original drawings that we can use.

The answer is that we work closely with S-CAN 3D Ltd. They have state-of-the-art equipment and software to undertake detailed and accurate 3D Laser scanning of the components. The model created is then transferred to our computer aided design software and we use this information to develop a full 3D model of the component with all the necessary data to manufacture new parts.

Our process is much more than reverse engineering that would simply copy any inherent weaknesses in the component. We re-engineer the components using our extensive experience and computer aided design tools to often improve the performance and reliability of the components.
